Develop and prepare nutritious and healthy meals for students. Ensure Meals will meet required nutritional values of the four food groups. Order required food and supplies to ensure meals are prepared as scheduled. Put away food delivery. Track expiration dates of food items. Ensure kitchen area is well maintained and clean. Practice sanitary methods of food handling and storage. Ensure that all eating and cooking utensils are clean and properly stored. Participate with management and staff in development of grocery list and menu. Post weekly menus with Director’s approval. Ensure alternatives foods are available for Individuals with food allergies. Available for weekly meetings relating to food, menus, and food preparation. Attend and participate in events planned by program as requested. Provide and post information regarding importance of proper nutrition, sanitary methods and food groups. Maintain dress code as assigned. Perform all other assigned duties. Promote and support the environment of positive behavior support. Promote pro-social behaviors and interactions between individuals and staff. Attend in-service training sessions, staff meetings and seminars as needed. New York State Driver’s License High School Diploma and experience in food service. Must be able to read and write English. Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program. Compliance with health regulations for physical/Mantoux testing. Attending SCIP class for certification/re-certification and passing a test upon completion of course is a minimum requirement for employment.DSP
Provides close supervision for individuals in accordance with the individual treatment plan. If individual is on a 1:1 supervision status, provide continual supervision as noted in plan. Completes transfer form when transferring individual's care to another staff. Participates in the individuals' program planning meetings; reviews and signs off on Annual and Semi-Annual Treatment Plans. Maintains individuals' possessions in a neat and orderly manner; communicates needs for the individuals to the management; completes documentation in accordance with program procedures. Transports individuals in a safe and comfortable manner; follows all NYS laws and agency procedures; maintains valid NYS Driver's License; completes all documentation including vehicle logs in a timely and complete manner; communicates condition of vehicles to management; ensures that the individuals have the optimum experience by not having the radio too loud, maintaining the temperature at a comfortable level, etc. Maintains the physical plant and agency property in a clean and safe manner; communicates any issues to management. Provides all other duties as needed or requested to ensure that the individuals are safe, healthy, and comfortable.
