Job Title: Food Services Worker
Job Description

Prepare food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, following established policies and procedures. Ensure quality food service is provided at all times, preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.

ResponsibilitiesServe meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards.Ensure that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.Use established ticket collection procedures during service.Maintain records from the area worked during service periods.Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards.Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor.Participate in-service and safety meetings.Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.Essential Skills1+ year experience as a prep cook, cook, or chef.Understanding of basic food safety and quality standards.Comfortable with general cooking equipment including convection ovens, steamers, fryers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a healthcare setting or sit-down restaurant setting.Why Work Here?

This union site offers a pay rate of $19.25/hour with an annual pay increase of 2.65% on your start date anniversary. Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position, from 5:45 am to 1:45 pm, in a hospital setting with a team of 10 cooks/grill cooks when the department is fully staffed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
