ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Sous Chef, the incumbent maintains standards established by the Executive Chef for the preparation and presentation of food including tasting, presentation and sanitation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.Assists the Sous Chef in the supervision and quality control of product.Maintains Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, local, state and Federal sanitation standards and health department codes.Orders food items for merchandising in sufficient quantities to sustain operational needs.Responsible for and prepares specialty foods and sauces according to recipe and specific method applications.Must be flexible and able to work all kitchen areas.Promotes positive customer relations; handles customer complaints.Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.Follows Department Standards and procedures at all times.Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.Demonstrate commitment to assisting in the development of Seminole Tribe members participating in the Tribal Career Development program and, when a Seminole Tribe member’s assignment falls within your direct area of responsibility, act as a personal mentor/career advisor to the Tribe Member and submit progress reports and information to the Director of Tribal Development.Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Culinary Arts degree preferred with Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's policies and procedures. This position requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; use hands, reach with hands and arms, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, talk and hear. Also required are frequent, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
