Work with a purpose! Management & Training Corporation (MTC) proudly operates the Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico, California. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release. 

What you’ll do: You’ll be responsible for the preparation of facility meals based on pre-planned menus.

Essential Functions:

Prepare and cook quantity of food required according to menu and number of persons.  Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly workable condition. Ensure work area is safe, clean and sanitary at all times.  Prepare food as directed for special facility functions and visitors.  Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas following each meal.  Supervise non-citizens assigned to assist in the cafeteria. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.  Food service training, one (1) year of food service or related experience and prior supervisory experience are preferred.  A valid food handlers permit is also required, if required by the state of California.  Must be the age of 21 years old.  Valid driver’s license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
