THE JOB:
As an In-Room Dining Cook at Aria, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent guest experience by using your culinary techniques. You’ll provide high-quality food to guests from all over the world. Partnering with front-of-house staff, you will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
THE STARTING RATE: $24.6173 / Per Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Show your culinary passion by crafting various menu items while following set recipes and standards
Consistently maintain proper stocking, cleanliness, and sanitation of back-of-house areas
Ensure guest safety by following proper food handling procedures
Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service
Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Knowledgeable of weights, measures and various cooking techniques
Knowledge of knives and knife skills, standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, beverage machines, Cryovac machine and smallwares
Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
Skilled in culinary tasks for both hot and cold food preparation
Describes themselves as detail-oriented and a multi-tasker
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communi
High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
One (1) year previous experience as a cook within the hospitality industry
Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
