THE JOB:

As a Cook at Luxor, you’ll rotate between our unique and diverse dining outlets, applying your culinary skills in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. From crafting bold Mexican flavors at Diablo’s Cantina to perfecting steak at Tender Steakhouse, you’ll be part of a dynamic kitchen team that sets the stage for memorable guest experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with culinary passion and a drive to grow within our kitchen teams.

STARTING PAY: $24.5381

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and presentation standards across multiple outlets, including a café, steakhouse, and Mexican restaurant.Maintain solid knowledge of food products, proper kitchen equipment use, and culinary techniques.Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met by labeling and storing products correctly.Assist kitchen leadership in the preparation and execution of service, working as a team to meet guest expectations.Restock kitchen supplies and maintain an organized workspace during shifts.Prepare base sauces, stocks, and soups, ensuring quality and consistency.Take ownership of plate presentation and attention to detail.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

6 months or more of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen is preferred.Comfortable rotating between different types of cuisine, including Mexican, steakhouse, and short-order cooking for breakfast and lunch service.Strong attention to detail, especially in maintaining food quality, safety standards, and kitchen cleanliness.Experience in a high-volume outlet is a plus, as you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment.Eager to learn and grow, with opportunities to advance within the kitchen teams.
