Summary This position is located at MWR Jeannie's Diner on Fort Huachuca, AZ. This is a flexible position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans. This announcement is open continuous; closing 03/11/2025 or until the position is filled. Bi-weekly reviews and lists sent to management starting 18 FEB 2025; additional lists may be sent at management request. Responsibilities Performs a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing, such as pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and fresh or canned vegetables. Prepares hot cereals and concentrated or ehydrated soups, sauces and gravies. Makes cold sandwich fillings. Sets up and replenishes salad bar. Prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring, or breading. Weighs, measures, and- assembles ingredients for regular and modified menu items. Mixes ingredients according to precisely written recipes. Covers, dates, and stores leftovers according to established procedures. Operates a variety of kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam or microwave heat sources. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods and short orders in a cafeteria, restaurant, or mess. Demonstration of the following work behavior is desirable: a. Neatness and good grooming. b. Dependability. c. Ability to work under pressure. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
