Job Summary: The RN CareerCare Program Coordinator is a registered professional nurse with advanced clinical expertise who functions under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Learning & Development. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of CareerCare Applied Learning (AL) programs, including the creation of program guidelines aimed at optimizing learner outcomes. The Coordinator is responsible for data collection and analysis to track learner performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Additional responsibilities include monitoring compliance with program guidelines and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. The RN CareerCare Program Coordinator acts as an education expert, clinical role model, mentor, and liaison between the Talent Management team and hospital staff, leaders, CareerCare participants, and academic community. The RN CareerCare Program Coordinator collaborates closely with Talent Management leaders and operational leadership to promote positive learner outcomes, serving as a key figure in integrating system-level strategic goals into effective AL educational programs. This collaboration ensures alignment with the organization's objectives and sustainability. Additionally, the Coordinator works with system and facility subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure educational activities reflect current clinical standards, influence behavior, and drive organizational change. All RN Clinical Nurses in this role must maintain active licensure and demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice, adhering to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, the Scope of Practice, and the Code of Ethics standards set by the American Nurses Association. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: CareerCare Applied Learning Program Management Acts as applied learning(AL) liaison for operational leaders, preceptors, AL academic facilities, and CareerCare participants Monitors adherence to AL program guidelines, tracks variances from guidelines, and reports outcome data to CareerCare team Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for AL programs Develops and maintains simulation programs for all AL programs including scheduling of rooms and faculty Accountable for AL program design for all AL programs Facilitates Career Readiness training for all AL programs Develops and maintains standardized training for all CareerCare preceptors Partners with operational leaders to identify appropriate CareerCare preceptors Manage CareerCare trainees schedule and time to ensure alignment with preceptors Solicits feedback from operational leaders, preceptors, and System Prof Dev Specialist on learner progression and learning opportunities; identifies opportunities for improvement based on feedback Implements learning strategies to address gaps in knowledge and skills Reviews and manages clinical competency completion rates and overall success of learners Maintains data collection; analyzes and interprets learner success data and identifies and recommends performance improvement opportunities based on learner success data Determines when a learner has successfully completed AL based on clinical competency completion and preceptor/leader feedback; initiates transfer from trainee role to regular FTE Identifies improvement opportunities and develops improvement plans to reduce deficiencies in standards and to improve processes Promotes and develops personal and professional growth and development Facilitates ongoing development/education for CareerCare applied learning participants to function in new roles and skills necessary to care for patient population; Provides resources and tools as needed to support development Identifies learning needs, plans and implements educational programs for CareerCare participants Incorporates appropriate teaching and learning principles into design and delivery of educational programs and materials Evaluates CareerCare learning materials annually, ensures educational materials are available for learners Demonstrates motivation for learning through self-study, independent reading, and professional networking Serves as clinical learning expert for complex learning situations to preceptors, operational leaders, clinical instructors, and other System Professional Development Specialists Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice in learning assessment and evaluation via role modeling and consultation Consults with operational leaders, preceptors, and System Professional Development Specialists to assess and identify individual learning needs Professional Practice Fosters cooperative spirit among team members. Utilizes appropriate intervention behaviors and communication styles in order to be an effective liaison and resource Maintains climate of open communication by listening, providing regular feedback, and involving employees in process implementation Utilizes effective verbal and written communication skills and maintains appropriate interpersonal relationships Serves as professional role model Serves as mentor in the development of peers and staff Promotes positive learning environment for staff and students AL Academic Partner Relations Establishes and fosters collaborative working relationship with AL academic partners Provides leadership in facilitating appropriate communication between AL academic partners and CareerCare participants Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education:Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing-PreferredRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state CompactAdditional License(s) and Certification(s): Nursing Professional Dev BC Upon Hire Preferred or Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 5 years Recent experience in clinical education, project management, and training Required Required Minimum Skills: Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Possesses advanced clinical knowledge and skills. Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office products and the ability to incorporate technology in learning previous experience with Learning Management System and design software preferred Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner Expert in adult learning theories and ability to utilize multi-methods to implement training/development. Strong presentation and facilitation skills Outstanding oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence at all levels within the organization Strong analytical, investigative skills, program/protocol development and implementation experience necessary Strong customer service skills. Ability to multi-task essential. Strong detail orientation required Excellent personal time management skills required. Adept as a change agent.
