If you are not sure you’re 100% qualified but are up for the challenge – we want you to apply. We believe skills are transferable and passion for our mission goes a long way.  Your role as Coordinator, Facility Services:  The Coordinator, Facility Services, is primarily responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies to reduce Petco Park’s carbon footprint and promote sustainability. All the responsibilities we will trust you with:                                 * Driving solutions and programs in corporate sustainability and operations and working on sustainability strategies, best practices, and industry trends * Utilizing circular business models and sustainable supply chains * Maintaining waste diversion efforts and proactively managing California SB-1383 implementation * Effectively calculating and reporting scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions * Always representing the Club in a positive and professional manner * Other duties as assigned Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most:                   * Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new programs, systems, and/or processes * General knowledge of office skills, use of office equipment (copier, laser printers, fax machine, telephones, computers) * Must possess effective written and oral communication and social skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines * Excellent written and verbal skills with proven ability to correctly use punctuation and grammar * Possess high degree of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability while maintaining professional image and demeanor * Proven ability to multi-task, attention to detail and manage projects on strict deadlines * Strong ability and willingness to work with others in a collaborative, team environment * Fluently bilingual in English/Spanish a plus * LEED/SFP credentials a plus You will be required to meet the following: * Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment * Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field * Minimum three (3) or more years of experience in corporate sustainability of ESG, corporate governance or related field * Must have a general ability in technology and a variety of different types of applications * Must have a valid current driver's license with a good driving record (subject to review) * Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. This includes the ability to work baseball games, post-baseball games, non-baseball events, and traditional office hours, whichever is needed at any given time to meet sustainability goals * Able to travel as needed * Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to ascend and descend stairs; able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds; able to ride a bicycle for prolonged periods of time * As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check  Pay and additional compensation: Per the California pay transparency law, the base hourly range for this full-time position is $23.00 - 26.44. As a candidate for this position, your pay and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, job-related skills, and any other factors the San Diego Padres considers relevant to the hiring decision for this position.
