What will you be doing?
The Coordinator, Flight Ops Training Scheduling is responsible for the scheduling and recordkeeping of FAA regulated pilot training and evaluation. The Coordinator must work to proactively to identify the training needs of each Pilot, including Recurrent Training, Initial Training and Upgrade Training. The Coordinator will also deal directly with the release of Pilots returning from a Leave of Absence, and ensure the correct training is being administered. The Coordinator will also assist in the initial training of new Coordinators and will continue to provide support and guidance to the team.
The Coordinator will be the daily check that all Pilot qualifications are being maintained and all Pilots are operating legally under FAA regulations. The Coordinator will also provide administrative support as needed to the Flight Operations Training Leadership team and assists with various department operational needs.
Essential Functions
Schedule pilot ground school, simulator training/evaluation and operational experience in the A320 aircraft. Schedule, track, and document new and upgrade pilots to meet flight qualifications and FAA regulations. Assist Supervisor, FOTS in scheduling and tracking Operating Experience (OE) for New Hire and Upgrade Pilots. Ensure all SIM sessions are booked accurately and coordinate with Airbus to block SIM time in accordance with monthly scheduling needs. Monitor sick calls for upcoming Recurrent Training, Initial Training, Instructor/Check Airmen Training, reschedule those needed and fill slots that become open. Input and maintain crew qualification records as well as file ongoing training records; draft monthly training reports. Coordinate monthly Pilot bids and assist in processing Monthly Open Time for Instructors. Process Daily Open Time for Instructors. Handle and or field incoming phone calls for scheduling and department management. Work directly with Crew Scheduling, Ground Training, LOA and other departments to ensure all Pilots are fully qualified and able to operate scheduled activity. Be the administrator for Flight Operations Website- includes posting pertinent operations information, memos, and compliance with ALPA required documentation. Correspond with FAA, ALPA and other organizations as required. Maintain department library including time sensitive revisions and required working forms. Utilize multiple and varied software systems to complete assigned tasks.Other Functions
Support the Director of Flight Operations Training and Flight Operations Training Scheduling Manager in other duties as required.Qualifications

Excellent working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations. Basic understanding of flight crew qualifications and Pilot CBA. Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task and succeed under pressure. Excellent use of MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel Ability to communicate clearly as well as draft correspondence in a clear and concise manner Ability to establish a good rapport with internal clients and vendors Excellent telephone, administrative and record keeping skills Ability to act professionally with a diverse work groupEquipment Operated
