ABOUT Hermosa
Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Coordinator, Supply Services & Master Data you will be responsible for providing support, coordination and administration for the Vendors or Supplier payment queries, activities of the Master Data, Supply Processing and Services functions within GBS and to process notifications and manage supply activities with timely, accurate and customer-focused execution for South32.
Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Liaise with the respective Business Process Leads where required and/or follow-up on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities where required;
• Manage and take ownership of resolving vendor queries related to purchase orders, goods receipts, invoices, and payments, ensuring accurate resolution and timely responses within the agreed Service Levels Agreement (SLAs);
• Manage escalated vendor issues that require higher-level analysis, ensuring effective resolution in accordance with South32 company policies;
• Collaborate with Global Supply teams to resolve complex vendor-related issues, facilitating smooth payment processes and vendor satisfaction;
• Provide vendors with timely updates on payment status, invoice issues or any adjustments, maintaining professional and effective communication channels;
• Regularly review and manage Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) accounts, ensuring timely clearing of outstanding items and resolving discrepancies between goods receipt and invoice data;
• Accurately file all source documents received ensuring a comprehensive evidence trail of all transactions performed and interrogate incoming source documents for completeness and accuracy;
• Ensure governance protocols of Global Business Services Master Data (MD) requests are followed;
• Govern all central Master Data changes in accordance with agreed quality standards, ensuring Master Data Integrity;
• Liaise with the Master Data requestors and/or approvers to clarify Master Data requests;
• Collaborate with the different stakeholders as directed by the requests and query types;
• Contribute to maintain a culture of innovation, learning and development and continuous improvement;
• Ensure compliance to all internal controls, agreements, systems, standards, governance and procedures as well as legislative requirements and statutory reporting;
• Maintain relationships and provide information to both internal and external stakeholders;
• Ensure alignment with and compliance to internal controls including South32 Code of Business Conduct, Group Level Frameworks, Standards, Policies, agreements, systems, and procedures;
• Participate in initiatives to improve the overall performance of the function by optimizing the utilization of existing processes, practices, and systems;
• Identify and quantify opportunities to improve quality of all Master Data or Master Data Standards and once approved, drive their execution;
ABOUT YOU
• Bachelor’s in supply chain / business/commerce or finance related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience, preferably in a Shared Services Environment;
• Working knowledge of the procure to pay end to end process
• Solid understanding of relevant SAP Modules (Materials Management, Finance/ Supply) module/Ariba Sourcing & Supply
• Strong problem solving, numerical and analytical skills with the capacity to troubleshoot and formulate solutions
• Understanding of supply/procurement process including contracts/vendor accounts and reconciliations
• Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint)
• Experience within the Supply Services or Master Data function of a large Global organization
• Proficient in both English and Spanish (written and spoken)
