Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Learning Assistant Program, Administrative Services - Boca Raton, FL
Summary of Responsibilities:
Assists with the recruitment, assessment, selection, hiring, training, and evaluation of the Learning Assistants each semester.
Updates Learning Assistant (LA) policies, goals, and objectives each semester.
Assists with data collection. Ensure all reporting data is timely and accurate.
Assists in the writing of reports related to the LA program and the Qualify Enhancement Plan (QEP).
Supports and promotes the QEP and the University.
Assists in managing the team of LAs.
Monitors and manages student-employee schedules.
Manages HCM OPS processes in Workday, preparing offer letters, initiating background checks, and ensuring that established deadlines are met. Acts as HR Partner, Delegate, and Recruiting Partner.
Acts as departmental timekeeper. Trains, monitors, and assists OPS and student employees to enter time correctly and runs weekly payroll reports to maintain accuracy of time input.
Assists in the administration of onboarding processes, LA candidate assessments, and training of new employees in Workday processes.
Coordinates processes for travel arrangements, including spend authorizations, expense reports, and card purchases. Manages the ordering of office supplies, surveys inventory of supplies, and cost control.
Coordinates procurement, contracting services, telecom reporting, and property control. Tracks balance available in assigned smart tags using budget to actual reports.
Manages the arranging of special events, including ordering food, reserving rooms, and paying vendors.
Coordinates special projects as assigned by the Director of the LA Program.
Investigate and resolve problems and issues.
Serves on appropriate university committees.
Assists with faculty development activities as needed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Education, Higher Education, or Learning and Instruction.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
Two years of appropriate experience in higher education or in a similar academic support role (e.g. tutoring, teaching assistant, instructional support, or other student-centered roles, program management or coordination).
Knowledge of pedagogical practices and familiarity with data collection and assessment tools to monitor the effectiveness of the Learning Assistant Program.
Strong communication skills, leadership and mentoring skills, organizational skills and attention to detail, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Salary:
