Job Summary
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M International University, through the Dr. F. M. Canseco School of Nursing (CSON), offers fully accredited and approved nursing programs.
The Coordinator, Program Accreditation & Development will work closely with the dean/chair/program director of the CSON on all aspects related to the nursing program’s preparedness for accreditation every academic year. This position may be writing-intensive, at times and involves extensive communication (written, oral, virtual) with the dean/chair/ program director, TAMIU offices/department, and a variety of stakeholders, TAMIU. Assisting the dean/chair/program director of the CSON in completing the major accreditation report required to be submitted, as well as other annual reports required for continued accreditation, is the overarching objective of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete accreditation reports assignments given by the dean/chair/program director.
Communicate with program faculty members and specialized TAMIU offices/departments to obtain data and information needed to complete and/or update reports Assist the dean/chair/program director in communication with program stakeholders (alumni, advisory board, employers, current students, graduating seniors, etc.).
Implement program stakeholders’ surveys electronically using SurveyMonkey/Qualtrics.
Follow up with stakeholders, collect and analyze the feedback.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities
Monitor and track student academic performance using various metrics such as standardized test scores, academic grades, clinical evaluation tools, and etc.
Monitor students’ progression in the academic programs from pre- nursing to graduation and beyond.
Collect data and analyze for reporting to the Texas Board of Nursing, ACEN, and other accrediting bodies.
Collect and analyze longitudinal data relating to student success in nursing programs.
Collect and analyze alumni and employer surveys.
Prepares reports to inform curriculum changes and for reporting to stakeholders advisory board.
Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s Degree in any major (or define applicable fields) with substantial writing-intensive requirements.
Experience – Two years related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in data analysis using excel or SPSS.
Experience in writing reports.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Office, especially Word and Power Point.
Ability to:
Communicate effectively, orally, virtually, and in writing.
Maintain confidentiality.
Excellent record keeping.
Interact effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Work effectively in teams.
Speak in front of large groups.
Multi-tasking and purposeful time management.

ACEN accreditation standards.

Salary: $21.11/hourly
