Coordinator, Purchasing 3

Coordinates all activities related to the procurement of parts, materials, and supplies, to support the efficient operation of the company.

Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on orders placed, confirms delivery, and maintains necessary records.

· Analyzes the requirements of the material, including preliminary specification, preferred supplier and date material is needed.

· Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.

· Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.

· Consults catalogs and contacts suppliers to obtain pricing, specifications, and deliverability.

· Obtains quotes from approved suppliers for replacement parts required to repair and overhaul aircraft accessory items, build to print manufactured products, repair services, and facility supplies.

· Confers with vendors and analyzes vendors with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

· Prepares purchase orders for replacement parts and vendor repair services.

· Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the material balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.

· Verifies cost accuracy of parts for outside processing.

· Assures that parts are delivered on schedule, confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries.

· Follows up on outstanding purchase orders for timely delivery of parts and services.

· Monitors minimum/maximum levels of inventory and supplies to assure optimum on hand quantities to support repair and new buys for manufacturing and shop maintenance.

· Maintains and reconciles the cycle count adjustments in the system.

· Investigates potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements and advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.

· Communicates with shop, engineering, accounting, inspection, shipping/receiving, and customer service personnel.

· Maintains timely control of purchase orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.

· Coordinates all activities related to procurement of material beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Pursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), applicants for SELECT positions will be

required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for

those select positions. All inquiries related to citizenship are asked solely to comply with ITAR and EAR export licensing requirements.
