Performs a variety of purchasing duties. Maintains records and files pertinent to purchasing information.
Compiles, records, and tracks pertinent purchasing data on computer. Compiles, records and tracks
purchasing activities and pricing data. Checks deliveries of material ordered and shipments received.
Within prescribed limits takes actions to ensure on-time delivery of material. Coordinates return of
rejected or unsuitable orders. Respond to requests for purchasing data and status of material activities.
Know and understand company and department policies and safety procedures.
Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price,
availability, and delivery schedule.
Print report to know what parts to purchase.
Locate parts with acceptable trace, price, and lead time.
Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
Have vendors setup in order to purchase.
Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of an order.
Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues with need
purchase items.
Run a PO status report, weekly.
Other various duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:
Full knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with an understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. General supervision with instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new lines of work or special assignments.
