Job Overview:
Responsible for processing and recording all cash receipts and/or transactions accurately and in a timely manner, while maintaining the integrity of our clients' information.
Your Responsibilities
Assist with the sorting and distribution of department mail following department guidelines; ensure checks are sent to the lockbox and/or placed in respective bins for timely posting and deposits. Maintain organization within the Resident Payment Application department, including but not limited to filing of checks, scans, and other miscellaneous items. Post all cash receipts, including but not limited to maintenance assessments, special assessments, miscellaneous items, electronic checks, security deposits and violations in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure that all posted checks, cashier's checks, etc. are deposit and/or sent to the bank for deposit in a timely manner. Prepare all deposits for courier at scheduled times. Prepare appropriate check requests for fund transfers as required. Perform research for unidentified checks to determine whether they can be processed and/or submitted to proper parties, log and track progress. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct. Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organization and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision-making abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have a strong work ethic and be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Must have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet design and maintenance, navigating in databases, creating presentations, record keeping and researching the Internet. Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently and be self-driven.
Travel:
Work involves no or minimal travel.
