Coordinator, Short Term Planning - Fixed Plant Maintenance

Job description:

Purpose of the role:

As a Short-Term Planning Coordinator at Trident FQM, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing short-term maintenance plans for the fixed plant. This role involves a strategic approach to ensure that all maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, and executed efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing plant reliability and performance.

Job & Candidate Requirements:

•             Develop and manage weekly and daily maintenance schedules in collaboration with maintenance, operations, and reliability teams.

•             Ensure all maintenance activities are planned with detailed scopes, necessary materials, tools, and appropriate manpower.

•             Review and incorporate feedback from maintenance execution teams to enhance future planning accuracy and efficiency.

•             Coordinate with the Procurement and Inventory departments to ensure availability of all required spares and materials for scheduled maintenance activities.

•             Manage the backlog of maintenance activities, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and resource availability.

•             Utilize Pronto xi CMMS effectively to input, update, and retrieve data necessary for planning and reporting.

•             Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance execution and plan adherence.

•             Conduct regular plan performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

•             Collaborate with the longterm planning and reliability teams to align shortterm maintenance activities with overall plant maintenance strategy.

•             Participate in regular cross functional meetings to ensure a cohesive approach to plant maintenance and operations.

 Qualifications:

•             Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

•             Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance planning and coordination within a heavy industrial or mining environment.

•             Strong proficiency in using CMMS, preferably Pronto xi.

•             Excellent organizational and project management skills.

•             Proven ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment.

•             Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 Skills and Abilities:

•             Detailed understanding of fixed plant equipment and maintenance processes.

•             Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable maintenance strategies.

•             Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

•             Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

 Working Conditions:

The role requires working in an industrial plant environment, including exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and outdoor weather conditions.

Standard working hours with occasional requirements for overtime during peak periods or shutdowns.
