The Control Center Training and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for managing the controller training program and all aspects of control room management for regulatory compliance. The Training and Compliance Coordinator will also support the controller hiring and onboarding processes.
Responsibilities May Include:
Developing and facilitating training for relevant topics such as SCADA, pipeline hydraulics, normal and abnormal operations, and leak detection. Supporting and maintaining the training program for pipeline controllers, including initial and ongoing training. Developing and maintaining training metrics and KPIs to evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of the control center training program. Develop and maintain Alarm Management Program metrics and KPIs to evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of the program. Supporting maintenance of and adherence to the control room management compliance policies, including periodic reviews, updates, and audit preparation. Supporting the operator qualification (OQ) process for controllers and lead controllers, including initial qualification, requalification, and cross-training. Supporting control center programs such as fatigue management, change management, leak detection, and alarm management. Supporting the hiring process for new controllers, including scheduling and administering COBRA tests, interviewing, and internal and external follow-up communications.
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country High school degree or GED equivalent Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for training, conferences, and/or site visits 3 or more years of experience with control room regulatory compliance and/or relevant compliance background in oil and gas industry 1 or more years of experience with federal, state, or regulatory agencies in oil and gas industry Intermediate level of working knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and operations, including with leak detection systems Ability to build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or higher in Business Technology, Legal, and/or relevant studies 5 or more years of experience in pipeline control center operations 3 or more years of experience with DOT/PHMSA regulations, including control room management (CRM) requirements 2 or more years of experience in control room alarm managementMidstream
