Job Overview

Hoxworth Blood Center (HBC), University of Cincinnati, was founded in 1938 and serves more than 30 hospitals in 18 counties in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana. Annually, Hoxworth collects more than 100,000 units of blood from local donors to help save the lives of patients in area hospitals. Hoxworth Blood Center: Saving Lives Close to Home. HBC is located within the College of Medicine and is the only Regional Blood Center owned and operated by a University in United States.

 

The College of Medicine, Hoxworth Blood Center is recruiting a full-time (100% FTE), Coordinator of Training Programs, in the Division of Donor Services. We seek a motivated individual who will assist in the planning, developing, coordinating, and direction of the Donor Services Training Programs. This individual will have excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the ability to present and train groups of various sizes and abilities.

Essential Functions Design, develop and/or modify workshops, courses, etc. Assess employee competence in applicable skills. Facilitate and/or conduct training. Keep training database. Consult with staff regarding needs assessment and specific training requirements for a particular unit. Evaluate training materials for purchase. Coordinate the daily activities of the training and development area. Select and schedule training programs. Assign work; ensure proper workflow of the unit; act as lead worker.  Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor’s Degree must be in a related field. Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
