Coordinator
Job Title: Laboratory Testing CoordinatorJob Description Oversee the coordination of raw material, excipient, bulk, and finished product testing at third-party laboratories. This role involves tracking required testing, obtaining quotes, coordinating sample shipments, and collecting and distributing results. Additionally, assist the Lead Buyer in developing and executing purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals and help manage supplier relationships to ensure fulfillment of contractual terms, including quality, price, and delivery timelines. Responsibilities + Coordinate third-party laboratory testing for raw materials, excipients, bulk, and finished products, ensuring timely processing and adherence to regulatory requirements. + Track and manage required testing, including obtaining and evaluating quotes from external labs. + Arrange sample shipments, ensuring proper handling, documentation, and compliance with established procedures. + Monitor and follow up on test progress, ensuring timely receipt and distribution of final results to internal stakeholders. + Maintain accurate records of testing activities, results, and vendor interactions, ensuring proper documentation in company databases and tracking systems. + Collaborate with internal teams, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and R&D, to ensure testing aligns with project timelines and regulatory requirements. + Manage relationships with third-party laboratories, ensuring service quality, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness. + Assist in evaluating and selecting testing laboratories based on capability, turnaround time, cost, and compliance with industry standards. + Facilitate communication between internal teams and third-party labs to support investigations related to out-of-specification (OOS) results or non-conformances. + Ensure compliance with company policies, cGMP regulations, and applicable industry standards related to laboratory testing. + Generate reports, summaries, and presentations regarding testing activities and laboratory performance. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field preferred but not required. + Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a vendor coordination role in a laboratory, quality control, or an FDA-regulated industry. + Experience managing third-party laboratory testing, vendor coordination, or analytical testing processes. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage data tracking, reporting, and analysis. + Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm). Some overtime and weekends as needed. Dress Code: Close-toed shoes, no jewelry. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
