GENERAL FUNCTION
The Asset Protection Coordinator in store, supports the deterrence and protection of external threats to safeguard the assets of the Company: merchandise, money, property and the safety of our customers and associates. The Asset Protection Coordinator supports the protection of the store and the reduction of external theft and safety threats by promoting a uniformed physical presence while providing employee training.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivers excellent customer service expectations Acts as a visual deterrent to protect company property, employees, and customers from external theft and safety threats Maintain a professional and constant presence while standing at the store’s point of entry Engage with disruptive customers to de-escalate interactions. Support all store and facility policies and procedures. Checks for compliance of all physical security devices. Review 3R’s, de-escalation, and Active Shooter programs with store employeesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent experience Valid State Security Guard License where required Security/Loss Prevention experience Standing or walking for extended periods of time up to and including an entire eight (8) hour shift. Being able to maintain clear visual observation of people and activities. Ability to communicate clearly and assertively, when needed Ability to quickly and confidently evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions. Ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to provide direction train on policy & procedure. Ability to lift 60lbs if needed Excellent written and verbal skills Strong interpersonal skills Flexible to work non-traditional hours including eveningsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in managing high-stress situations Experience in utilizing de-escalation tactics Experience in Retail store environmentsEmployee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
