Position Summary
Accountable for the coordination of the daily aspects of the screening center and psychiatric emergency services. Assists with maintaining a 24/7 operation and works collaboratively with the Emergency Department physicians and staff, psychiatry, and the State system of care.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1.Maintains a 24/7 quality service providing patient care for consumers requiring emergent psychiatric services and screening.
2.Ensures mobile outreach teams are available to address psychiatric issues in the community.
3.Serves as a liaison to the NJ system of psychiatric emergency services and screening.
4.Performs grant Emergency Services/Screening management, monitors expenses and ensures all program revenue is accurately captured.
5.Effectively interacts and collaborates throughout all levels of the healthcare system.
6.Monitors Quality assurance and performance improvement activities for the department.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
5 years clinical experience
Preferred:
Healthcare Experience
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
â—LCSW, LPC or related clinical licensure.
â—State of NJ Screening certification
â—Valid Driver's License
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Crisis Management experience and training.
Preferred:
Familiar with State of New Jersey Psychiatric and Commitment laws and process.
