One year of experience in a related field or a professional capacity. Experience with a residential leasing company or apartment management desirable. Knowledge of graphic design and marketing to college student population desirable.A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position Performs semi-complex administrative and supervisory program work for the department of Residence Life. Primary Responsibilities Creates, edits, and maintains content for publications and website, including an Off-Campus Survival Guide and comprehensive apartment list. Designs, implements, and evaluates presentations, workshops, and events for students in alignment with university goals. Recommends program guidelines, procedures, polices, rules, and regulations. Maintains positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the City of Huntsville, City of Conroe, Texas Apartment Association, local property managers, and Student Government Association. Hires, trains, schedules and supervises student workers. Communicates with students and family members who need personal assistance. Assists in assessments, writes reports and provides recommendations for strategic planning. Stays current on trends in off-campus/commuter student living, legislation, laws, city ordinances, federal requirements, and national standards relating to these topics. Assists Department with marketing initiatives as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Knowledge of off-campus student living and lease laws. Understanding and knowledge of concepts of college student development. Knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) helpful. Communicates with other University departments, personnel, and other agencies. May require work during evenings and weekends as directed.

Position requires driving and operating a university vehicle; therefore, a valid Texas driver license and driving record acceptable to the university’s insurance carrier is required.
