Summary
Under the direction of the Pathology QA & Regulatory Compliance Director, this position will develop, implement and monitor all aspects of the Quality Improvement Program for Anatomical Pathology and the Clinical Laboratory, Point of Care (POC), and Safety Programs. Interprets, designs, and implements quality assurance standards in laboratory to ensure quality care to patients. Oversees and manages compliance standards for twelve (12) cost centers. Creates policies and/or procedures to ensure state and federal compliance. In conjunction with the management team and faculty, determines compliance audits, to include problem prone, high risk, and/or high volume procedures. Analyzes statistical data and writes narrative reports summarizing quality assurance findings. Leads and reports monitors at Pathology Services, Clinical Laboratory Services, and the hospital quality assurance meetings. Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with clinics and providers and Magnolia Main, MIP, McKinley, and MIOMS locations. Directs implementation of the solution, and manages the allocation of work to the appropriate resources. Motivate resources to deliver to quality standards on time
Qualification :
Bachelors in Medical Technology, Minimum of five (5) years' experience in laboratory sciences, including at least 1 year of quality assurance experience Med tech license and ASCP is preferredSkills and Experience Required
Strong working knowledge of laboratory and Federal regulations (OSHA, CLIA, CAP, JCAHO, ASHI, etc.) Knowledge of laboratory billing (CPT codes) for both anatomic and clinical pathology Ability to learn and effectively navigate several mainframe hospital and lab computer programs integral to the job function Evidence of delivering projects on time Excellent planning capabilities and strong experience of working with planning tools Experience of working in a customer focused environment Good understanding of technical concepts Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills Self-starter and self-motivated and demonstrate strong leadership skills Solid communication skills including the ability to communicate with business and technical users at all times Understand the full development lifecycle of a complex application Problem-solve and troubleshoot technical problems
