Coordinator - Learning & Development

The Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration of the Firm’s Learning & Development department. This individual will be responsible for effectively coordinating all aspects of firm wide compliance with PKFOD’s Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements for its professionals and compliance requirements relating to NASBA, NYS and NJ CPE Sponsorship Licenses.

The L&D Coordinator must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment and provide a timely, high-quality and accurate work product.  

Essential Duties

Responsible for maintenance of PKFOD’s learning and compliance management system. Act as a point-person for all processes, systems, initiatives, etc. related to the Learning & Development Department. New Hire Set-Up: Transfers (office and industry) Updating regulators - State CPA licenses, industry regulations (Yellow Book, Employee Benefit Plan, Tax Quality Control Document, Firm Requirements Off Boarding Terminated Employees Serve as a resource for system questions and field of study questions. Manage PKFOD’s CPE Subscription Program; assign subscriptions to new employees including providing them information on how to use the system and serving as a main point of contact when an employee has an issue or question. Conduct on-going Compliance Reporting, periodic reporting regarding various regulators, annual reporting for firm leadership regarding compliance with Firm’s requirements, responsible for providing compliance reports during triennial peer review. Overall responsible for compliance with requirements of NASBA and other sponsorship licenses. Coordination with marketing department for invitations to Firm Symposiums for compliance with NASBA requirements. PKFOD Internal course offerings: Coordination with Partner/Manager designated as “Program Coordinator” for each course to ensure that all program development and technical review forms are completed prior to the course. Set up course in the Firm’s system and coordinate logistics. Facilitate webinars for internet-based courses – including running Zoom/Teams Webinar, act as a moderator (introduce instructors and give CPE information regarding courses), launching polling questions and provide technical support to participants. Responsible for maintaining record retention database and ensuring compliance.

 Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university. 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a Public Accounting Firm or similar role. Experience with training individuals on a process or program is preferred. Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with individuals of all levels. Excellent presentation skills. Must be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences. Experience with database management and excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Ability to resolve conflict. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with a Learning Management System (ideally LC Vista) is preferred. Ability to multi-task items simultaneously. Willingness to work on new projects as necessary pertaining to the Learning & Development Department. Ability to communicate with assigned Partners and other client servers regarding project issues/questions, deadlines, project load and prioritization. Travel to other PKFOD office locations may be required.

The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 - $70,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
