This is an hourly position. Overview This job is located in Peoria,IL. 5 x 8 hour shifts (8:00 to 4:30) Monday through Friday, no weekends. POSITION SUMMARY: The Mammography Coordinator contributes to the overall patient experience by delivering exceptional customer service to patients, families, caregivers, providers and the community during every interaction. Performs a complex variety of patient care coordination and scheduling , including accurate appointment scheduling of the breast center's most complex exams. This position schedules a seamless experience for the patient, the mammography department, and the ordering physician for first contact resolution and optimixed patient flow within the department. The coordinator builds, manages, and navigates all Breast Imaging scheduling templates, through a thorough understanding of radiologist protocols, radiologist reports, physican orders, and the path of care within the mammography department. Consistently demonstrates OF's mission and service standards while addressing patient inquiries and concerns. Collaborates with physician offices and clinical departments to coordinate services, prepares patients for their visits, and maintains all support processes. Responsible for supporting, tracking, and documenting patient compliance with all recommended mammography exams per the radiologist report, as mandated by the IEMA and FDA. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Experience: 1 Year Advanced Scheduling Experience Licensure: N/A Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of Medical Terminology or previous experience in scheduling medical examinations.
