DOQ Location: Syracuse Description of Duties: SUNY ESF invites applications for the Coordinator of Assessment (Coordinator) position. This full-time, 12-month position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The Coordinator will lead and champion a comprehensive assessment program across campus to support the ESF's strategic goals and accreditation needs. Reporting to the institution's Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) the Coordinator will collaborate with the campus community to continue and further a culture of assessment. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: + The Coordinator of Assessment will work closely with all departments and administrative units, governance, and student affairs to lead and guide planned assessment activities and will support academic and administrative units in developing SMART goals to evaluate student learning outcomes and institutional effectiveness assessments. + The Coordinator will provide leadership and oversight for assessment of the College-wide learning outcomes and Assessment of General Education. + Together with Department chairs and program coordinators the Coordinator will support the creation of a program learning outcomes assessment for all academic programs and degree levels (associates, baccalaureate, master's, and PhD levels) and periodic academic program assessment, including national accreditation. + The Coordinator will oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of assessment data across all degree programs for program planning and continuous improvement with various stakeholder groups. + In collaboration with Institutional Research, the Coordinator will manage the assessment process for academic and administrative units; the Coordinator will notify units of report due dates and ensure that deadlines and timelines are met. + The Coordinator of Assessment will present assessment materials for campus wide Unit Retreats and the meetings of the Academic Governance and Chairs Council in collaboration with Institutional Research. + As appropriate, exercise effective data collection, management, analysis, and communication, both internal and external to ESF. + Other reasonable duties as assigned Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: + Master's degree in instructional design, instructional leadership, curricular design, higher education administration, or other relevant education required. + Three years of experience in institutional assessment and assessment of student learning outcomes + Program evaluation experience that includes quantitative and qualitative methodologies + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing across all levels of management and with faculty and staff across a wide range of disciplines. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications: + Experience working withing the SUNY system. + Working knowledge of program assessment processes and accreditation standards in higher education, or having served on an MSCHE accreditation visiting team. + Knowledge of or experience with student development theory and program evaluation. + Ability to synthesize large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information and present to areas of skill and understanding.
