Coordinator of Athletic Events **Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):** Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience in a facility operations setting. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in an athletic facility setting. Experience with event management. Experience with audio-visual equipment (i.e. scoreboards, sound system, video equipment, etc.). Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google applications. **Brief Description of Duties:** The primary responsibilities of the Coordinator of Athletic Events are to coordinate and help manage the successful operation of home Intercollegiate Athletic contests and of revenue generating contracted events held in the athletic facilities. Daily responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to, working closely with Graduate Assistant on event coverage. This position will act as the on-site manager for select athletic contests as determined by the Associate AD for Facilities, Operations, and Capital Planning and will work with the scheduling coordinator in the management of revenue generating contracted events. **Intercollegiate Athletic Event Management:** + The Coordinator will be responsible for helping with management of select home Intercollegiate Athletic Contests and will assist the Associate AD in all home football, basketball and lacrosse game management. The responsibilities will include; assisting with the hiring/training/scheduling of staff needed to support contests. + In addition, the Coordinator will assist with the planning and oversight of all setups/breakdowns and facility needs for practices/shoot-arounds, etc. + The coordinator will be one of the liasons with all pertinent on and off campus constituents with regard to event operations and scheduling (i.e. University Police, Environmental Health & Safety, Parking Services, and Field Maintenance, Custodial and Event Management contracted vendors). **Revenue Generating Events Management:** + The Coordinator will work closely with the Coordinator of Scheduling to ensure successful planning, coordination and management of revenue generating contracted events. This will include working with promoters, students, internal and external clients to ascertain information needed for each event. **Facility Operations:** + The Coordinator will work closely with the Associate AD for Facilities, Operations, and Capital Planning in overseeing the daily operations of the Athletic Facilities. This includes scheduling and oversight of Front Desk Staff and Graduate Assistant Building Managers and ensuring a safe environment for patrons in all athletic facilities. + This position will work with the External Contractor(s) to ensure they are fulfilling their obligations (after normal business hours) and are aware of changes/additions to the facilities schedule. + In conjunction with the building managers, the Coordinator will provide daily updates to the Associate AD for Facilities on areas in need of repair and or any other operational issues. Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission. **Special Notes:** This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly. **Evening and weekend work may be required at times.** For this position, we are unable to sponsor candidates for work visas.
