Competitive Pay:$25 per hour Schedule: 9 AM - 3 PM, four days a week Monday-Friday Report:Senior Director Why This Role is Perfect for You: As a Senior Health Promotion Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of seniors across Nassau County. This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25, a flexible work schedule, and the chance to be at the forefront of innovative health promotion strategies. What You’ll Do: + Innovate & Implement:Collaborate with senior centers and the Office for the Aging to design and roll out wellness programs tailored to the needs of the senior community. + Lead & Inspire:Oversee consultants and volunteers delivering health promotion activities, including organizing on-site visits throughout Nassau County. + Build Partnerships:Develop and nurture community partnerships to expand access to essential health programs for seniors. + Leverage Expertise:Apply your advanced education and experience to deliver top-notch professional services, techniques, and strategies. + Organize & Monitor:Manage timesheets, track participation, and coordinate the distribution of monthly schedule confirmations. What We’re Looking For: + Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Psychology, Health Education, or a related health field. + Experience:At least two years of relevant experience in public health or health promotion. + Skills:Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, email, and other relevant software. + Knowledge:Familiarity with public health education principles and trends at national, state, and community levels. + Other Requirements:Valid NY State Driver’s License and access to a vehicle. Strong ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and to establish effective relationships with community agencies and the public.
