Job Summary
The Coordinator of RH Therapies reports to the Clinical Director/Manager. The Coordinator’s Number One job responsibility is to deliver the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time, and understand how to contribute to the health system’s vision of achieving that commitment to patients and families. The Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing administrative and operational activities for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Recreational Therapy, and Therapy Tech Assistants performed at Novant Health New Hanover Rehabilitation Hospital. As a licensed rehabilitation clinician is responsible for promoting evidence-based techniques as a foundation of rehabilitative care. Performs assessments and formulates individualized treatment plan for meeting or exceeding identified health and rehabilitation needs. Interventions are outcomes focused, value-based and consistent with best practice. Actively participates in all aspects of the rehabilitation process as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Facilitates LEAN activities and adapts to changed environment to meet patient and department needs. Advocates for NHNH Rehabilitation Hospital, Rehab Services, patients and coworkers. The team member is a role model in Novant Health’s First Do Not Harm (NHFDNH) safety behaviors/error prevention tools and high reliability strategies as appropriate to ensure a safe, remarkable patient experience. As a member of the Rehabilitation Services management team is responsible for leadership in all aspects of mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications
+ Education: Graduate of an accredited school occupation therapy, physical therapy, or speech language pathology. Health car related field or business administration preferred.
+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
+ Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice rehabilitation discipline in the state of North Carolina. BLS certification.
