Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Coordinator - Stroke is responsible for coordinating initiatives, deliverables, and documentation required to obtain and maintain accreditation by accrediting organizations, such as: Joint Commission, Illinois Dept of Public Health, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), or others that may arise. The program coordinator will impact ministry wide regional quality by standardizing processes and procedures related to accreditations requirements. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master's degree in nursing or bachelor’s degree in public health or healthcare administration with experience in managing multiple high visibility projects and working with broad, diverse groups of people. Certification required: American Board of Neuroscience Nursing (ABNN) Stroke Certified RN (SCRN) or Association of Neurovascular Clinicians (ANVC) Advanced Stroke Coordinator (ASC-BC) Experience: Three years’ healthcare experience. Two years stroke regulatory experience, including obtaining new or maintaining existing accreditation designation. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Application of performance improvement methodologies Expertise with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Outlook, & Teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as a stroke coordinator or stroke navigator Previous lead nurse or nurse coordinator experience Licensure/ Certification: If a nurse, RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
