No Duties and Responsibilities Implement metrics and systematically evaluate their work, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Work with a team when ‘all hands on deck’ is needed. Utilize technology strategically to deliver efficient, personal, exemplary service. Manage integrated student life calendar. Support student groups in planning and executing activities while linking/integrating them with existing/additional SSOM activities and academic programs. Assist with inter-professional education initiatives. Support dean’s leadership council and dean’s teaching activities. Communicate activities to on-campus and off-campus media. Help manage student campus spaces: communities, activities center, lockers, learning clusters Support and plan medical student union’s activities and events. Coordinate faculty awards annually, including managing nomination process with students. Manage wellness programming and the student wellness advisory group. Assist with tracking programs in student health and mental health. Coordinate schedules and student activities in partnership with ministry, when required. Support dean’s initiatives around bias incident/mistreatment reporting and peer professional formation. Manage student leadership database and enforce student leadership guidelines. Assist in planning and executing student life events. Support scholarly evaluation of community programs and student involvement. Assist with pre-matriculation program, orientation and other admissions and student affairs programming when required. Be familiar with all resources at SSOM such as facilities, communications, fitness center, food service, etc. Direct ASPIRE program. Assist Student Affairs deans & Admissions dean with M1, M2, M3 Orientations. Plan Student Organization Fair. Coordinate Family Weekend & White Coat Ceremony. Coordinate St Luke’s Week activities. Advise all student groups, specifically support existing programming done by Diversity Student Orgs (LMSA, SNMA, APAMSA, PRIDE, etc): PULSE, HPREP, Safe Space, Ally Training. Track Honors/Awards/Special Programs. Update website Information (ASPIRE, Orientation, Family Weekend, Student Life, MSU, Wellness). Coordinate Spring Formal. Match Day/Week/SOAP planning and support. Coordinate disorientation week. Honors Day planning and coordination. Assist with Graduation planning and ceremony. Support the OSR students. Other projects as assigned such as external recruitment visits, scholarship nominations, MLK Celebration Committee. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Bachelor’s degree and two to three years of experience in University programming, counseling or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in higher education or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience in graduate or professional students preferred. Professional experience within a college or university with knowledge of student affairs. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Demonstrate ability to understand multicultural perspectives as applied to student support. Demonstrate experience with multicultural event programming and outreach events. Presentation, word processing and spreadsheet software; Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Experience with PeopleGrove a plus. Proficient in social media as an educational marketing tool. Proficient in podcasting, video chatting, and group meeting interfaces. Ability to articulate the values and mission of a Jesuit institution. Team player who has the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Ability to carry approximately 40 lbs of materials for programming. Certificates/Credentials/Licenses Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License. Computer Skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Internet and email applications. Presentation, word processing and spreadsheet software; Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Experience with PeopleGrove a plus. Proficient in social media as an educational marketing tool. Proficient in podcasting, video chatting, and group meeting interfaces.
