The Surgery Scheduling Coordinator's primary responsibility is to coordinate the reliable and efficient scheduling of all surgical procedures performed in the operating rooms On a daily basis, this individual will work with a multidisciplinary team of providers and clinicians to promote timely and adequate patient access to the OR’s Master Daily Schedule while ensuring efficient, fair, and equitable utilization of key department resources (e.g. OR capacity, medical equipment, Anesthesia/Nursing personnel, etc.). Additionally, the Surgery Scheduling Coordinator will demonstrate Service Excellence Standards, specifically through the cultivation of trustworthy relationships with Surgeon’s and their supporting departments. Obtain necessary insurance authorization using knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Minimum Education:

Required:      High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

Preferred:      Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 - 3 years of college

Minimum Experience:

Required:  Minimum of 3 years of previous job-related experience

Preferred:  at least 6 years of previous job-related experience

Pay Range: $18.46 - $24.44 per hour 

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
