AMT’s Core Audio team provides audio foundation for various high profile features like Siri, phone calls, Face Time, media capture, playback and API’s for third party developers to enrich our platforms. The team is seeking a triage engineer embedded in the Audio Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) team. As part of this team you’ll work cross-functionally to debug and investigate software issues, build tools, systems, and use engineering analysis to solve challenging problems. DescriptionDescriptionThe Audio Hardware Abstraction Layer is the advanced software engine that conducts all audio I/O in Apple's operating systems. As a member of the talented and diverse Audio HAL team, you will be on the front lines ensuring quick resolution of bugs, debugging analysis and supporting the developer-facing APIs for both applications and drivers. You must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a knack for solving problems creatively. The fast-paced nature of the job requires that you be able to work well under pressure. We are seeking someone who is passionate about improving the quality of the audio experience for our customers and our developers. Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications3+ years of industry experienceSolid understanding of digital audio software and systemDevelopment experience with Swift, Python, Javascript or other scripting/coding languages is key, preferably low-level experience with C/C++Operating System and/or real-time systems understanding. Have great problem-solving skills, analytical, tools & development experience, and ability to evaluate and identify issues at a code levelExcellent written/verbal skills. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $204,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
