Responsible for managing the delivery of core software functions for Body Controls. The Core Body Software Supervisor is responsible for managing the delivery of core software functions to our full-service body suppliers and working with our application software team to manage the delivery of the complete ECU software from the full-service suppliers. The Supervisor is responsible to coordinate and implement all the required actions to improve overall customer (internal and external) satisfaction, reducing complexity and bureaucracy with the implementation of new process and tools to ensure on time delivery of the SW at ECU level.
The Core Body Software Supervisor must establish good communication and facilitate the discussion, with the required stakeholders and customers, to reach agreements on the implementation of the new process and tools. The Core SW supervisor is also responsible to mentor, teach, and build the Core SW team, as well as eliminate roadblocks to achieve team deliverables.
Qualifications:
Engineering Degree: Electrical, Electronic, Systems, Mechanical – Electrical, Mechatronics, Aeronautical 6+ years as Core or D&R Experience releasing Electronic Control Units, Software, or Features / System owners’ areas. Proven experience on leading and mentoring a team on technical and motivational situations. Proactive and driven by results and customer focus approach. Self-organization skills to handle and prioritize competing priorities. Ability to delegate effectively & strong follow-up skills. Travel expectation 10% Continuous improvement and innovative mindset. Strong Teamwork skills: manage and operate independently but with alignment and coordination with cross-functional teams. Six-sigma applied data driven mindset. General knowledge of vehicle functions, electronic and/or vehicle system Technical knowledge of: Vehicle Architectures Electronic Control Units Network Communications GPDS experience PS to OKTB, and ability to understand critical path of Electrical Modules SW implementation. SW Requirements / Specifications interpretation D&R tools and process (FEDE, VSEM, Jira, Jama, AIMS, IVS) In-Vehicle-Troubleshooting Basic SW Modeling skills Functional Safety Cybersecurity Soft Skills: Ability to communicate and interact with others in cross-function team environment. Excellent organization, communication, time/program management and presentation skills Self-driven. o Leadership. "Sales" skills, political, able to convince different teams on "conflictive" topics. Proactivity, leadership, and credibility to help drive the new process and propose feasible changes to it o Attitude to learn and teamwork. Process driven.

Responsible for managing the delivery of core software functions for Body Controls. Manage a team responsible for delivering software subject matter expertise, functional specification, functional models, and or software files to our full-service supply base. Oversee the purchased service spend and plan the purchased service budget for following years. Drive the SW Core team to achieve the team goals defined in Atlas. Support the core team to define the overall software delivery plan for the full-service suppliers in conjunction with the application software team. Keep and establish excellent communication with management in Dearborn and the Core Software team in Mexico to communicate programs status and escalation / help needed when required. Establishes overall priorities to ensure the implementation on time of commitments and deliverables. Support SW Core engineers to remove roadblocks, interaction with stakeholders facilitating cross functional issue resolution and communication. Take pro-active role in fostering growth of all engineering personnel via career development, skills training, cross-functional assessment, etc.
