Core/Coil Stacker - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Core/Coil Stacker - 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Use defined procedures, bill of materials, and eqipment to assemble various sizes of transformers and related suv-assemblies, reowkr damaged/ defective components, and complete assemblies.   
Performs work in various centers, including: bake over, coil hot press, core/clamp, Turn-to-turn (T.T.R) testing/ hook up, low voltage welding/finishing, lead press, stacking.
Assembles various sizes of transformers cores and related sub-assemblies by following customer specifications, blueprints, bills of material, visual operating procedures, standarized procedures, and prescribed methods (NFOI). 
Loads cores and coils onto the stacking line. 
Stacks the core around the legs of the coils.
Stacks units onto pallets with consideration to their corresponding order numbers. 
Builds and breakdowns various coils. 
Restacks coil pallets if not stacked properly to meet quality standards. 
Write order numbers on units. 
Applies steel banding straps to clamp the assembly.
Builds sub-assemblies per OPS and quality standards that are required in the final assembly with use of calibrated tools. 
Operates a TIG welder to weld low voltage leads and crossovers.
Follows low voltage and high voltage hookup diagrams to make all assembly connections. 
Tests each finished unit for proper ratio and good connections using a TTR Tester. 
Troubleshoot any potential problems found during testing phase to complete ratio test. 
Transports racks of finished assemblies to designated storage areas using a work saver. 
Identifies and scans units based on the shipping schedule to generate data for oven loading sequence. 
Load units into the core/coil bake oven.
Welds lead assemblies as required for future orders, using scheduling documents and bills of materials.
Stamps out and welds lead assemblies to support production.
Perform rework on damaged or defective component parts/complete assemblies to ensure quality standards are met. 
Weigh and log scrap metal in the database and follow proper disposal protocols. 
Inspect tools for damage and arranges for repair/replacement.
Performs routine upkeep on tools and equipment.  
Utilizes various manual/power operated hand tools and heavy machinery which may include the following non exhaustive list: fork lift, screw gun, air ratchet tools, welding machine, hand crimp tools, hammer, pallet jack, hydraulic press, air crimp tools, electric/air hoist, multi lam cutting machine, single lead cutting machine, powered industrial truck, etc.
Ensures received parts/materials meet quality standards and are correct per order specification. 
Utilizes overhead hoists and power industrial vehicles to move units weighing over 40 lbs.  
Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. Adheres to safety protocols and ensures efficient material handling.
Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
Adhere to safety protocols, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures. 
Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Fulfill other manufacturing duties as assigned. 


 

Qualifications:

No education required. 
"Relevant work experience preferred.  
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. "
