Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is an engineering discipline that combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. At Goldman Sachs, SRE is responsible for the availability and reliability of our firm's most critical platform services, and ensures they meet the requirements of our internal and external users.

We are looking for talented software engineers who is customer-oriented, motivated to create high quality user experiences, and able to adapt to changes in our fast-paced, global business environment.

How will you fulfil your potential?

As a Developer in the team, you will be working on different requirements from users and product owners to develop and operate a firmwide centralized logging system which should be able to handle large volume of log ingestion and query capabilities. You will run production environment spanning multiple cloud providers and on-prem data centers. You will diagnose and fix production issues and continually improve the reliability of the system through a postmortem process.

Basic Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding and / or systems engineering or equivalent experience5+ years of relevant work experienceProficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, GoExcellent programming skills - developing, debugging, testing and optimizing codeExperience with algorithms, data structures and software designExperience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Comfortable with technical ownership, managing stakeholders, and working as part of a global team

Preferred Experience

Experience with distributed databases like Elastic search.Experience with messaging systems like Kafka.Systems experience in UNIX/Linux and networkingKnowledge of cloud native solutions in AWS or GCPKnowledge of SQL commands for any Database.Strong interpersonal skills, drive, and ownership.
