Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining complex applications to support the Car Sales business. This position focuses on operational, tactical, and strategic activities to evaluate and integrate requests for software and infrastructure changes and enhancements. The Senior Software Engineer guides, mentors and leads the team on tasks and assignments.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
· Ability to understand and interpret business requirements to design and develop technical specifications for large and complex applications
· Aptitude to understand business process and recommend efficient solutions that meet the needs of the business
· Ability to code complex algorithms and successfully perform comprehensive testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution as well as compliant to the business and technical requirements
· Perform necessary production support tasks involving on-call responsibilities
· Proficient knowledge of object-oriented application development principles, concepts, object-oriented analysis, and design
· Proficient knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, and application servers such as WebLogic
· Proficient knowledge of products like Struts, ANT, Hibernate, Spring, Eclipse and XML Beans
· Experience with HTML, XML, Java Script, Dream Weaver
· Good knowledge of Oracle database environment
· Good knowledge of NT/Unix and Linux operating systems
· Recent experience in core application development and troubleshooting utilizing required tools
· Exposure to processing data in a batch environment is preferred
· Experience with the DB2 platform and with RPG and CL coding language is preferred but not required
