As the Core Room Setup Technician, you will ensure the proper setup and operation of Core machines, supporting a seamless manufacturing process. Working under the guidance of the Foundry Supervisor, you will help maintain equipment functionality and quality core production.

You Will:

Set up and adjust Redford machines and ensure proper operation during production.

Assist belt operators with machine malfunctions and breakdowns, preparing machines for the next shift.

Inspect core quality to meet manufacturing standards and report mechanical malfunctions or quality issues to maintenance or the supervisor.

Perform routine operational maintenance on machines and maintain the workspace in a neat and orderly fashion.

Collaborate with the Pattern Shop on core box modifications as needed.

Exercise judgment to follow standard operating procedures and instructions.

You Have:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in core making is preferred.

Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.

Demonstrated mechanical abilities and aptitude.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
