Core Strategy & Process Improvement Vice President

We're on the hunt for a Vice President to join our Core Strategy & Process Improvement team. In this role, you'll be part of our in-house advisory team, delivering strategic solutions to address JPMC's most critical needs. You'll collaborate with senior leaders across various business lines and corporate functions to make key business decisions, improve our operating models, and enhance our bottom line. Your work will often involve tackling complex business issues that affect the entire firm, such as Return to Office and Hybrid Work. Our approach mirrors that of Big 4 consulting firms, with small, dedicated project teams working on a project for 4 to 16 weeks, depending on complexity and scope.

As a Vice President within the Core Strategy & Process Improvement (S&PI) team, you will be a part of our in-house advisory team, dedicated to delivering strategic solutions that address the most pressing needs of JPMC. Your primary responsibilities will include making critical business decisions to enhance operating models, create a significant impact on employees or clients, and boost the bottom line in collaboration with senior leaders from various business lines and corporate functions. You will also frequently focus on resolving complex business issues that have a broad impact across the firm. The S&PI team follows a hypothesis-promoten, empirical approach to problem-solving, similar to the approach adopted by Big 4 consulting firms. You will be part of small, dedicated project teams, working on projects ranging from 4 to 16 weeks, depending on their complexity and scope. Your role will involve establishing a strong fact base and understanding of the problem, followed by working closely with businesses on both short-term and long-term solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

“Own” execution of clearly defined, well-scoped components within a workstream, which could span process improvement, organizational change, and / or functional strategy effortsDevelop project-specific content / domain knowledge quickly and actively participate in team problem-solving sessionsGather, model, and analyze data to test hypotheses, identifying trends and key insightsProduce presentation materials to summarize findings / recommendations and take part in syndication effortsPrepare and listen well; interject and participate in client interviews to gather baseline information and can work with client team members to clarify / execute any follow-up requestsWork closely with stakeholders to develop and refine recommended solutions to address issuesEstablish excellent relationships with internal clients and colleaguesManage own deadlines / timeframes, proactively escalating issues as neededReceptively be open to coaching and feedback; active / ongoing feedback via apprenticeship modelCollaborate as a team , working well with project VP and other analysts / associates in completing workstream components

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

5+ years consulting experience with a top-tier management consulting firm or an internal consulting / corporate strategy teamStrong problem-solving skills with ability to identify issues, as well as skill in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data from multiple sources using Excel to support hypothesesAbility to manage key elements of a workstream, escalating / seeking help when necessary
