DuPont is recruiting for an Industrial Electrician to join its dynamic team located at its manufacturing site in Buffalo, NY. 

Yerkes Buffalo is the North American manufacturing home of Corian® solid surface products, introduced in 1968 and the founding manufacturing location for Tedlar® polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) films, introduced in 1961. We are looking for people who have a passion for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that meet our customers' needs for a better, healthier, safer life. 

As an Industrial Electrician you will perform all phases of installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical and instrumentation systems.  This position typically operates on a rotating schedule. This is a bargaining union opportunity; those selected may be expected to join the local union.

  

Your key responsibilities will be/what you will do:​ 

​Repair, adjust, and install electrical equipment including but not limited to programmable controllers and recorders, transmitters and transducers, motor control centers, power lift trucks, building lighting, heating, AC and ventilation equipment, electrical motors, complex electronic devices, control panels, relays, conduit, and switchesTroubleshoots and repairs complex problems visually inspects diagnoses and observes electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.Changes-out and repairs AC/DC electric motors and parts, relays, solenoids, and terminal stripsDisassembles equipment to gain access to problem, using crane, hoists, hand tools, power tools, hammers, pry-bars, etc.; examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wearUses blueprints, diagrams, repair manuals, calipers, micrometers, scales, and other measuring instruments as required

Requirements:​ 

Minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.2+ years of experience as an Electrician, Maintenance/Control Mechanic or similar in a manufacturing environment is requiredAble to understand and interpret the National Electric CodeAble to troubleshoot and maintain 12V-480V systemA successful candidate will be able to meet the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including:Willing and able to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule including holidays and weekends as well as overtime, sometimes on short notice.Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.Willing and able to meet the physical demands of the position and perform work in confined areas and hard-to-reach conditions

The Pay range for this role is $26.73 - $42.01 Hourly

Each role has an associated pay range (or an established pay rate for some roles) based on the competitive market in each country where we operate. Each individual’s pay is based on a variety of factors, including their role and the associated pay range for that role, their geographic location (i.e., country, state, metropolitan area), as well as their skills, experience, education and certifications, and performance.
