Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Machining III position located in the Corinth, MS facility. Machining 3 operations will have increased variation with operators being required to select correct programming, perform OPM (operator performed maintenance) and quality checks and calibrate tooling. 

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused environmentOperator should have attention to detail and be self-motivatedOperator will work in a team environmentMachining 3 positions may require use of gages, tools, overhead hoistsMay require use of vibratory, pneumatic tools: impact guns, wrenches, needle guns, handheld grinders, die grinders and buffers, etc.May include some wire arc spray operations as neededQuality checks may be required, per standard workCandidate will be required to interpret blueprintsCandidate is expected to understand torque requirements and processesMay require loading and unloading partsMay require utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of areaMay require operation of CNC controls/programsMay require operating automated packaging equipmentMay require checking incoming material and entering dataCross training in other positions within salary grade 5 may be required, based upon basic qualifications and physical requirements being met. Examples of positions within salary grade 5 include: Machining 1, 2, 3 Disassembly 1, 2 Cleaning 1, 2, 3,  Assembly 1, 2, 3 Logistics 1, 2, 3 and Quality 1Utilize various computer systems including email on a regular basisCandidate will work in an environment without close supervision
 

Basic Qualifications:

Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)Required to read/write and interpret documentsExperience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc.)Experience with engines and componentsPrevious experiences with gagesPrevious machining experiencePrevious experience reading and interpreting blueprints

Top Candidates will also have:

Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and ExcelMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsPrevious CNC experience such as Mazak, HAAS, etc.

Physical Requirements:

Job may be physically demanding at times and must be able to handle high volume fast pace operationSome positions will require forklift operation/trainingMay work in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesMay walk, squat and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutesMust be able to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment)May require respirator physical and trainingMay be required to lift/push/pull heavy parts up to 30 lbs. multiple times per shiftMust be able to stand for up to 10+ hours per shiftMust have a flexible schedule

Job Bid Eligibility Requirements:

Compensation & Benefits Offered!

Starting hourly pay rate of $21.80 (pay negotiations based on skills/experience)

This position is 2nd shift with an additional 7% night shift premium

Work Hours: 3PM - 1AM; Monday - Thursday

40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime

80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)

10 Paid holidays

Summary Pay Range:

$21.80 - $28.30

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
