Corp Banking PM Team Leader II
Description Manage a team of Commercial Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts, including those managing straightforward up to the most complex credits, including those with large exposures in complicated and/or specialized industries. Primary responsibilities include + Leads a team of Portfolio Managers, Associates and Analysts supporting the Bank’s Corporate Banking & Industry Verticals Coverage team. + Responsible for all aspects of portfolio management including transaction structuring, due diligence and underwriting, credit approval, legal documentation Review & negotiation, reporting/credit monitoring and problem loan identification. + Involved in credit actions (deal screens, approval of new business and amendment requests and Watchlist) on a credit intensive, noninvestment grade portfolio. + Design and monitor internal systems to assure that all assigned work and ongoing monitoring is completed on a timely basis and in a manner that complies with all Citizens internal policies. + Actively ensure compliance with Federal regulations and Citizens policies. Actively involved in assessing, developing and implementing credit and compliance policies. + Prioritize work that is assigned to the group, assures that work is appropriately distributed among the team members and is responsible for objective quality control of group’s analytical and reporting work product to include accurate application of credit, risk, and other policies and practices required to effectively manage risk exposure and loss to Citizens. + Assures that all portfolio managers & credit analysts are trained and kept up to date on Citizens credit policy as well as credit issues affecting the general economy. + Achieves satisfactory or better ratings from credit review and compliance and meet compliance targets for annual reviews, risk ratings, and covenant compliance monitoring. + Responsible for performance management process and professional development of direct reports. + Liaise with regional portfolio management team leader, credit risk and workout colleagues on deteriorating credits. Largely internally focused interacting with portfolio managers, Relationship managers, division executives, credit Officers and Senior Management. + Externally meets with customers/prospects to actively negotiate deals and solve customer/prospect requests and problems. Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials + 15+ years relevant Corporate Banking experience required, including prior management experience + Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams across functional boundaries to ensure efficiency of operations and effective risk management + Willingness to adapt and respond appropriately to new demands, priorities, challenges, and obstacles + Highly effective in establishing relationships with key stakeholders + Understanding and applying credit policy, and credit monitoring and risk administration practices + Expected to have advanced level of credit experience, including legal documentation, and negotiating credit structures both internally and externally + Excellent verbal, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required + Ability to multi-task and function under pressure + Proficient in PC applications, including excel based projection modeling Education, Certification, and/or Other Professional Credentials: + Bachelor’s Degree required , Master’s Degree preferred Some job boards have started using jobseeker-reported data to estimate salary ranges for roles.
