Impact Recruitment has partnered with a full service, western Canadian law firm to hire a Corporate Commercial/Securities Legal Assistant to join the Corporate Commercial/Securities group in their Downtown Vancouver office. This is an amazing opportunity for an intermediate to senior Legal Administrative Assistant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in any law practice. This is a full-time permanent position for someone who is self-motivated, highly organized, has superior writing, proofreading and time management skills as well as the ability to work well both independently and within a team environment. This is a fully in office opportunity.

Responsibilities
As a Legal Administrative Assistant supporting the Corporate/Commercial and Securities Lawyers your duties include:Performing complex editing and formatting for correspondence and documents;Preparing various administrative tasks including file opening, billing and follow-up to review outstanding accounts;Maintain an efficient file system and have strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail;Monitoring and following up on all post-closing documents; andPerforming day-to-day administrative tasks including file organization, diarizations, booking appointments and maintaining calendars.Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience.Minimum 5 years of experience working as an LAA.Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and document management software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.Ability to maintain an efficient electronic file system.Ability to follow instructions from a diverse group of lawyers and staff with minimal supervision.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional team environment.
