As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our fixed asset records. You will ensure accurate tracking of asset acquisition, depreciation, and disposal, and provide essential support in financial reporting and analysis. This role also involves handling intercompany transactions and general ledger accounting, offering a comprehensive experience in the field. Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy of asset details and depreciation schedules.Process acquisitions, transfers, and disposals of fixed assets in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to fixed assets.Reconcile fixed asset accounts and perform regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.Manage intercompany transactions defined by contracts, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation between entities.Support the general ledger accounting function by preparing journal entries related to fixed assets, intercompany transactions and other areas as assigned.Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of assigned accounts.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual analytics on assigned areas to assist in close and external audits.Collaborate with other departments to gather information related to fixed assets and ensure proper accounting treatment.Support the annual asset verification process and coordinate with external auditors as needed.Other duties as assigned by manager or accounting leadership.Assist with ad-hoc projects and provide support to department as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.0-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on fixed assets, intercompany transactions, or general ledger accounting preferred but not required.Basic understanding of accounting principles, fixed asset management, and general ledger accounting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (experience with Oracle e Business Suite is a plus).Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Base Pay Range$53,000-$58,000

Physical Requirements:


This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
