Job Description

 Position Summary: 

Trek is looking for a technically strong, analytical, self-motivated, detail focused individual to fill a key seat on our growing Finance team.  The Corporate Accountant will report directly to the Global Accounting Manager located in Waterloo, WI.  

This position will require you to engage & partner with a variety of teams to drive change within our finance operation. This is a huge opportunity to learn & develop at a great company. Candidate should have a high level of curiosity & be hungry to get their hands into the details. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis for cash, inventory, and liability accounts as part of the month-end close process. 

Assist with maintaining the lease accounting software. generating monthly lease journal entries, and related reporting. 

Perform daily tasks to ensure accurate and timely accounting for our direct retail store operation. 

Identify store transactional errors and “own the problem through resolution” for our stores. 

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of global finance and general ledger reporting structure. 

Assist in the fulfillment of external audit requests. 

Communicate system or process improvement opportunities to enhance internal controls. 

Team-driven, willingness to help others in order to deliver month-end close by the deadline. 

 

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting 

1+ year(s) Accounting or Finance experience preferred

CPA preferred; not required 

Familiarity with US GAAP and multi-currency transactions preferred 

Exhibit competence in all aspects of general ledger accounting 

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Proficient in Excel
