Job Description
Prepare and complete financial transactions (AR/AP/GL/Fixed Assets/Interco/Address Book/Banking etc.) timely and accurately according to accounting processes and procedures. Respond and resolve operational issues that arise and ensure stakeholders' requirements are met. Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy, extraordinary or unusual items. Reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with SOX requirements. Manage insurance and government surveys. Become a subject matter expert in ASC 842 - Lease Accounting. Prepare weekly and month-end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances. Work on special continuous improvement projects as requested to resolve problems or generate productivity improvements.
Responsibilities

+ Become a subject matter expert in ASC 842 - Lease Accounting.
+ Prepare journal entries for weekly and month-end close.
+ Work on continuous improvement projects to resolve problems or enhance productivity.
Essential Skills
+ Accounting Degree/CPA
+ Experience in private or public accounting
+ Proficiency in Lease Query, Blackline (account reconciliation), JDE, W-Desk (SOX compliance), Cognos Controller (Consolidation)
+ Excel/Google Sheets expertise
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ CPA certification
+ Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations
+ Intercompany reconciliations
+ Consolidation experience
+ International accounting and/or exchange rate accounting experience
+ Experience with new leasing standard ASC 842
Work Environment
This role will report to the new Site Controller. The previous employee in this role has moved into a new position within the company. The work environment includes a mix of in-office and hybrid work. During non-quarter end, employees typically work from home on Mondays and Fridays. During month-end and quarter-end close weeks, it is expected to be onsite. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00/8:30am to 4:00/5:30pm. Benefits include PTO (20-25 days), 8 scheduled holidays, 401K, life insurance, health insurance, dental insurance, and an internal discount program.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
Time Off:- PTO: 0-4 Years are accrued weekly to an annual total of 160 hours- Holidays: 8 scheduled Holidays- standard major holidays and separate of PTO
