Key Responsibilities:
Own the monthly and quarterly accounting processes for:Global treasury operations - ensuring all transactions related to debt and derivatives are accurately recorded and reported.Accruals management - manage legal and other professional service accruals, ensuring timely and accurate recognition of expenses in accordance with GAAP. Collaborate with legal, procurement, and other departments to gather detailed information required for accrual calculations.Corporate Benefits (including self-insurance liabilities, bonuses, and deferred compensation) - oversee the accounting for self-insured corporate benefits such as health care and workers compensation, ensuring accurate reporting of employee-related expenses and compliance with applicable regulations. Work with HR and benefits providers to ensure the correct accounting treatment of corporate benefits. Coordinate tracking of bonuses accruals globally to ensure accuracy and visibility for executive leadership.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses to ensure the integrity of financial data.Financial Statement Preparation:Serve as a key resource for preparing related footnotes and disclosures for the Company’s external financial statements.Ensure footnotes are comprehensive, accurate, and aligned with regulatory requirements as well as company policies.Coordination and Process Improvement:Effectively coordinate with global contacts in all functions to develop and execute consistent accounting and reporting processes.Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with team members to implement best practices in accounting procedures.Collaboration and Communication:Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including treasury, finance, legal, and HR teams to support seamless accounting operations.Communicate clearly and concisely with various departments to ensure understanding of accounting policies and procedures.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.2-5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting, with knowledge of treasury and benefits accounting a plus.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.Experience with global treasury functions (debt and derivatives), and corporate benefits is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Workday Finance).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with global contacts.Why Lineage?
