Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager position sits within Corporate Accounting and is responsible for supporting the monthly close process, ensuring transactions are properly and accurately accounted for, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reporting deliverables, and ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures. The candidate should have a strong accounting background with demonstrated knowledge of accounting processes and cycles including month-end closing procedures, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and financial reporting.  Additionally, this position supports the Accounting Senior Manager and controllership on other special projects. This role requires extensive interaction and coordination with various functional areas within the Company including, but not limited to, benefits, compensation, corporate reporting and accounting, financial planning, insurance, international operations, legal, payroll, tax, and treasury.  This role is responsible for the accounting of the corporate functions, which may include a combination of the following areas:  benefits, insurance, debt, derivatives, dividends, incentive programs, information technology, intangibles, legal, marketing, mobility programs, payroll and related taxes, professional outside services, public affairs, retention, severance, utilities, and various bonus programs.   

 

Principal Activities and Responsibilities

Prepare and support monthly close activities including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations with relevant supporting documentation Assist with reporting and analyzing financial information monthly  Assist with the preparation of the financial statement footnotes for the annual and quarterly filings  Assist, prepare, and support the execution and documentation of internal controls activities including retention of control support as well as annual/periodic review and updates to SOX process documentation. Assist with the creation, implementation, and monitoring of various finance policies and procedures Support the annual audit, quarterly reviews, and periodic audit activities of internal and external auditors  Other projects as assigned by the Senior Manager, Accounting Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or concentration in accounting required; CPA preferred 5-7 years of relevant experience (combined public and private industry), public accounting experience a plus Strong understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS a plus Experience within a multinational publicly traded business, preferred Highly detail oriented and organized in work; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; eagerness to learn and ambition to grow with the organization and corporate accounting Highly proficient in MS Excel and proficient in Office; SAP ECC and SAP S/4 experience a plus

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
