Job title: Corporate Affairs & Communication Manager DAM (DRC, Angola & Mozambique)

What this position is about: 

 

This role will focus on monitoring regulatory issues, tobacco taxation, and engaging with stakeholders to support the company’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory affairs, excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management within a regulated industry.

 

Responsibilities: 

Contribute to the development and implementation of JTI's corporate affairs and communication strategy in Angola while maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders; Implement actions that will enhance the company's image and reputation, support organizational efficiency, communication; Continuously monitor and analyze regulatory developments affecting the tobacco industry in Angola; Prepare detailed reports on regulatory changes and their potential impact on the business; Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards; Support the implementation of the Community Investment Program in Angola; Ensure the circulation of information within the Corporate Affairs team; Track and analyze changes in tobacco taxation policies and assess their implications for the company;

                                                    

Who we are looking for – Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communication, Public Relations, Political Science, Law, or a related field; Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, regulatory affairs, government relations, or a similar role within a regulated industry; Strong understanding of regulatory environments and taxation policies affecting the tobacco industry in Angola; Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in French is an asset; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
